Peer Review is the process of evaluating the research work of a scholar/researcher by one or more persons with similar competencies or expertise as that of the scholar/researcher. It is an important part of the research community.

There are various ways through which the process of Peer review contributes to the research community and holds its importance.

The process of Peer Review enhances the quality of research. The feedback provided to the researcher during the process of Peer Review makes sure that the work submitted by the researcher is error free.

The process of Peer review also assists the Journal Editor in making a decision on a particular manuscript as to whether to accept the manuscript or reject it.

Peer review has many advantages for students. Every researcher may or may-not have appropriate presentation and writing skills. 

For the scientific community, Peer Review acts as a boon. While subscribing to a journal, the reader places faith in that journal, believing that the information published in that journal will be accurate, authentic, and reliable. Peer review process assists the scientific community in deciding what scientific information is to be believed and accepted. 

Peer Review is an important part of the research community and should be taken seriously.
